Our Mold Remediation Process

The steps in our remediation process include:
- Containment of the affected area – Before removal begins, we contain the work area to prevent spores from spreading to unaffected parts of the home during remediation. This includes plastic sheeting, negative air pressure where appropriate, and controlling HVAC airflow through the space.
- Identification and correction of the moisture source – We address the water source that caused the growth before removing the mold. A plumbing repair, ventilation correction, or vapor barrier installation happens here, not after the cleanup.
- Removal of mold-affected materials – Porous materials with significant mold growth, including drywall, insulation, and wood framing in some cases, require removal rather than surface treatment. Our technicians identify which materials are remediable and which need to come out.
