24/7 Emergency Electrical Repair in Thornton
An electrical emergency can mean a burning smell, sparks from an outlet, or part of the house losing power with no obvious cause. Allen Service provides 24-hour electrician service for urgent problems in Thornton. If anything is smoking or on fire, leave the building and call 911. For outages and downed lines, contact Xcel Energy or United Power, whichever serves your address.
Our Electrical Services in Thornton
From homes built since 2000 to established neighborhoods from the 1970s and 1980s, electrical needs vary across Thornton. Our residential electrical contractors and commercial electrical contractors repair, replace, and install electrical systems to match how your property is used today.
Electrical Repair
Breakers that trip, outlets that stop working, and lights that buzz or flicker are signs that something in the circuit needs attention. Allen Service’s electricians diagnose the problem and make the repair, whether it’s a worn device or a loose connection in the panel.
Electrical Replacement & Rewiring
In Thornton, complete electrical rewiring is one of the homeowner projects the Building Division can issue without plan review. Allen Service replaces worn outlets and switches, adds GFCI outlet installation in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas, and rewires sections or whole homes when wiring is damaged or outdated.
Electrical Panels
Main panel upgrades are also on Thornton’s over-the-counter permit list, so an electrical panel upgrade can often get started quickly once you decide to proceed. We inspect your current panel, check its capacity against what you want to add, and recommend repair, replacement, or an upgrade.
EV Chargers
Our electricians handle EV charger installation for Thornton homes, starting with a check of panel capacity and the best route for a dedicated circuit to your parking spot. Older homes may need a panel upgrade first, while newer homes often have more room to work with.
Generators
Spring snowstorms and summer thunderstorms can interrupt power on the plains northeast of Denver. Allen Service installs and services standby generators, from essential-circuit units that keep the furnace, refrigerator, and sump pump running to whole-home systems.
Lighting Installation
Allen Service handles recessed lighting installation, ceiling fans, walkway and entry lighting, and EverLights permanent outdoor lighting. In newer homes with builder-grade fixtures, upgraded lighting is one of the simplest ways to change how a room looks and works.
Commercial Electrical
Thornton businesses need wiring, lighting, and power distribution that keep up with daily operations. Allen Service’s commercial electricians handle repairs and upgrades, and businesses looking at commercial lighting companies can bring their lighting retrofit to us as well.
Fire Restoration
After a house fire, wiring hidden in walls and ceilings can be damaged even if the room looks repairable. Our electricians inspect and test affected circuits, then repair or replace components before the system is put back into service.

5 Reasons To Call an Thornton Electrician
Thornton homes range widely in age, but these warning signs apply to all of them. Call one of our local electricians if you notice any of the following.
- A Breaker That Trips Every Time You Reset It: Repeated trips point to a short, a ground fault, or an overloaded circuit that needs diagnosis.
- Buzzing From the Panel: A panel should be quiet. Buzzing or crackling can mean a loose connection or a failing breaker.
- Outlets That Feel Warm: Heat at an outlet or switch is a sign of a poor connection or an overloaded device.
- You’re Buying an EV: A home charger needs a dedicated circuit and enough panel capacity to support it.
- Builder-Grade Lighting or Too Few Outlets: Newer homes may have limited outlets or basic fixtures that you’d like to upgrade.
